A very short history of Mielczarek family company

The company was founded in 1941 by Mr Piotr Mielczarek, who before II World War was gaining experience and perfecting his skills working in the Borkowski brothers factory.

Even then it was a family business as Mr P. Mielczarek was employing his closest family. Mr Piotr’s wife was making the finest lampshades of that time. Each detail was hand sewn, and decorative beads were designed and threaded on each shade individually. They still present individual and unique exhibits.

His daughter, who graduated from The Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, designs on customer requests till this day. Later, his son-in-law, Andrew Kulak joined the company, who has been running the workshop for 40 years.

For over 30 years, also Mr Piotr’s second son-in-law has conducted employment for the company.

Since 2005 Maciej Kulak, Mr Piotr Mielczarek’s grandson, has been taking a trader’s position.
